PHILOSOPHY --montessori method
In 1907, Maria Montessori opened her first school she called the “Children’s House.” Her classroom was designed to mirror a home environment, involving multiple ages of children in real daily tasks. It was a space where everything was child-sized & accessible.

Maria Montessori observed in children something amazing she called the "absorbent mind" -a window from ages 0-6, when children experience great mental activity that allows them to absorb learning from their environment quite naturally, without conscious effort.

ABOUT ME--jackie newton

In 2007, I earned a Master of Teaching in my perfect blending of early childhood & language learning. As a bilingual preK teacher, Dr. Montessori’s absorbent mind discovery clicked -I can apply the sponge-like nature of early language learning to all areas of learning!

In 2010, I pursued year-long Montessori training to earn an American Montessori Society Early Childhood credential. 10 years later on after teaching in varied NYC Montessori primary schools I followed a need to bring Montessori & language learning right back home.
